Business desk privacy

Erika Business Desk is the private inquiry and project workspace for Erika Barker Photography, operated by MERCEDES & MCRILL LLC. It helps organize photography commissions, licensing requests and other business conversations. This notice explains how information handled by the desk is used, including information received through connected Meta accounts.

Information we receive

The desk stores information you provide in an inquiry, such as your name, contact details, company, brief and preferred way to respond. Connected messaging services may also provide account identifiers, message identifiers, timestamps, message text and attachment information. The information available depends on the channel and the permissions granted to the connection; a connection does not give us access to unrelated private accounts.

How we use it

We use this information to review requests, maintain conversation context and organize potential projects. If a project proceeds, relevant details may become part of estimates, agreements, invoices and payment records. We also keep operational records to prevent duplicate processing and investigate delivery problems, and we do not sell inquiry or message information.

Access and AI assistance

The desk is private and uses Cloudflare to host and store its records. Erika and authorized assistants, including AI assistants, may review relevant information to organize inquiries and prepare drafts. Receiving a message does not automatically trigger a reply, accept a project or authorize a payment, and private messages are not published as portfolio content.

Connected services

Meta handles conversations made through its services under its own policies. When enabled and authorized, the desk receives relevant business messages through Meta's official interfaces. Payment processing, email delivery and other connected services may separately handle information necessary for their part of a project, and their own privacy notices also apply.

Retention

We keep information while it is needed to handle the conversation, administer a project or maintain relevant business records. Some transaction and agreement records may need to be retained after a conversation ends. We review deletion requests against those needs rather than promising that every record can always be removed immediately.

Access, correction and deletion requests

To request access, correction or deletion of information held by Erika Business Desk, use the contact form and select “Something else.” Tell us which service you contacted us through and include the account name or email needed to locate your records; do not send a password or verification code. We may ask you to verify that the information belongs to you, then respond about the request and any records that need to be retained.

You can also remove Erika Business Desk from your Meta Business Integrations settings to revoke the access granted there. Revoking access stops the connection from using the revoked permissions but does not by itself delete information already received. Use the request process above if you also want us to review deletion of stored records.
